Hello
I’m a purpose-driven leader focused on helping organizations and people thrive. With a background spanning healthcare, technology, and global business, I’ve led teams through growth, transformation, and cultural change, always centering people in the process. My work bridges business strategy and human development, ensuring that organizations perform at their best while their people grow, engage, and find meaning in their work.
My approach is grounded in trust, systems thinking, and human connection. I’ve built and led People & Culture functions in fast-growth environments, coached leaders through complexity, and partnered across industries to align culture, capability, and performance. Whether advising executives, developing talent strategies, or guiding organizational transformation, I aim to create environments where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to make a difference.
My Story
My professional journey began in the healthcare consumer products industry, where I helped drive global expansion across the EMEA and APAC regions. Experiencing an acquisition by a larger, more traditional company during a period of rapid growth gave me firsthand insight into how leadership, culture, and strategic alignment directly impact both business performance and employee engagement. That experience inspired my transition into HR and organizational leadership, where I’ve focused on helping companies grow, learn, and adapt more effectively through the lens of people and talent.

I launched my HR career at Microsoft through a multi-year leadership rotation, supporting a range of businesses and functions and developing a practical, enterprise view of how strategy, structure, and culture fit together. In the years that followed, I held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, eBay, and Flex, where I led global Learning and Organizational Development and Talent Management initiatives, driving significant transformation and turnaround efforts for leading global industry players. Later, at Teladoc Health, I reported to the CHRO and led the HR Business Partner function across the enterprise while overseeing end-to-end HR for two subsidiaries, BetterHelp and BetterSleep. At BetterHelp, I was the company’s first HR hire and built the HR function from the ground up as the organization scaled more than 10x to exceed $1.1B in revenue. At Circle Medical, I led People and Culture through a major transformation, aligning talent and organizational design as the company evolved into an AI-first organization.
International experience has shaped how I lead. I lived in Japan for two years as a volunteer, becoming proficient in Japanese and developing a deep respect for service, discipline, and cultural awareness. During the pandemic, I worked from the Philippines while supporting Teladoc Health, gaining a basic understanding of Tagalog and a firsthand appreciation for leading global teams with empathy and adaptability. These experiences continue to shape my inclusive leadership style and enhance my cross-cultural understanding.
Outside of corporate work, I’m deeply committed to serving youth and alumni of foster care and other at-risk populations through mentorship, education, and career development initiatives that build resilience, confidence, and purpose.
My academic path bridges the fields of business strategy and human development. I earned an MBA with a focus on Organizational Behavior and Strategy, and I am currently completing doctoral work in Organizational Leadership and Dispute Resolution. My dispute resolution training includes a Mediation Certificate from BYU Law School and ongoing coursework through Pepperdine University’s nationally recognized Dispute Resolution program. My dissertation research examines the relationship between clinician resilience and its impact on performance, engagement, and retention, with the goal of identifying strategies to enhance resilience and effectiveness among clinicians and the broader workforce.

I grew up on the West Coast, the East Coast, and in Utah. As an adult, I’ve lived in Japan, Utah, Washington, California, Texas, and the Philippines. I love exploring the U.S.—hiking in the Rocky Mountains, squeezing sand between my toes at the beach, or attending a Broadway show in New York City. I read voraciously, mostly business and psychology, though I enjoy a good science or historical fiction novel from time to time. When I’m not working or studying, I spend time with my wife and our two little ones, get involved in our community or church, or explore new ways to learn and grow.

In the long term, my goal is to help leaders and organizations build cultures that are both high-performing and human-centered. I believe that true success occurs when business outcomes and human well-being rise in tandem.
